Oswestry
The pretty town of Oswestry is the third largest town in Shropshire after Telford and Shrewsbury. Originally on the site of a large Iron Age Hill Fort that dates back to the 550s BC, Oswestry has a long and turbulent history, and played a major part in The Conquest in the 10th Century. Today, the town is a vibrant market town and important agricultural centre, home to many independent shops and specialist stores. Local attractions include Whittington Castle, Shelf Bank - a large hill in the centre of Oswestry - and the Cambrian Railway Museum. .
